There are over 5,200 earmarks worth $3.9 billion in the recently-passed omnibus spending bill, according to a preliminary review by the watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense. The measure funds six federal agencies, and the Washington Post notes the earmark numbers "are down from the same bills the previous year."

The Transportation bill has 1481 earmarks worth $1.207 billion, down from 2009's total of $1.487 billion.
