USDOT has released its proposed guidance and criteria for the TIGER II program.
This is a follow up to the highly popular $1.5 billion TIGER (I) program, for which over 1400 applications totaling $60 billion were submitted to USDOT. Last February USDOT announced 51 grants for projects ranging from highways, bridge replacements, freight rail corridor improvements, streetcar extensions, and bicycle/pedestrian networks. TIGER II should be nearly as over-subscribed.
Do you like or dislike a part of the proposed criteria? USDOT wants to know, and you've got until May 7th to provide your comments; USDOT has until May 28th to consider the comments and possibly revise the guidance and criteria.
