FHWA and the Tribal Technical Assistance Program of Colorado State University are sponsoring a webinar about “Safe Routes to School for Tribal Communities.” This program will provide an overview of the Safe Routes to School Program and examples of projects in tribal communities.

It will be conducted on Wednesday, February 23rd, 10am-11:30 (pacific time).

The Safe Routes To School Program was established in August 2005 as part of SAFETEA-LU.

The Program makes funding available for a wide variety of programs and projects, from building safer street crossings to establishing programs that encourage children and their parents to walk and bicycle safely to school.
